These works reflect the spontaneous, organic process of my exploration of color, texture and form. I love to paint. I relish in the experiment of applying it thick and rich onto the canvas, allowing the motions of my body to manipulate and stimulate the blending, texturizing and layering of medium. My technique is unrefined and unmeditated; a dance of gestures with color into composition. The intuitive play of brush, palette scrapper, knife, or hand reveal the powerful flow of energy in my being, transferred onto the canvas. The mystery of what will be is the most exciting thing. I’ll play with a piece until it simply feels right. When I am invigorated, a sensation of joy, uplift, and peaceful tranquil bliss fill me, and I know it’s done. Painting is pure fun. I dive in to see who I am and what wants to shine thru.
